Weaving prayer, hospitality, justice and care of the earth into a shared way of life.

Taizé Prayer

Taizé style prayer is a ministry of Sunday Assembly. It is organized monthly during the academic year and held in the Monastery Oratory at 7:30 p.m. (see dates below). The music and pattern of prayer of the ecumenical monastic community of Taizé, France have been transferred and translated around the globe. A rich contrast of silence and singing pervades the prayer. Songs often include texts in many languages. Latin is most often chosen as a "universal" language. It is beautiful when sung, yet is equally "foreign" to all. For more information contact Lynn Lemberger at llemberger@benedictinewomen.org or 608-836-1631, ext. 138.
